If you’ve dropped, chipped or damaged your dentures, we’re here to help. Never try to repair your broken or damaged dentures, as this can worsen the situation. And it may cost you a lot more. Our denture clinic is near you, approximately 11 minutes’ drive from Beechboro & Bennett Springs. Get your denture to us early in the morning, we can usually perform a same-day repair so you’ll smile again in no time.
Although high-quality, well-made dentures usually last, they can be damaged by heavy knocks or if dropped on the floor. Also, dentures can develop small cracks over time, resulting in breakages.
Same-day denture reline
A denture reline is necessary to ensure your denture fits well and you stay comfortable.
Think of a denture reline like servicing your car. Do it regularly, and you get the best value from your vehicle.
A reline involves resurfacing the tissue of your denture with new materials. Resurfacing is necessary to compensate for your gums, as they change shape over time. Once resurfaced, your denture will fit better and feel more comfortable.
How do you know if you’re ready for a reline? There are several clues. If your denture has become more mobile, lost suction, fallen out frequently, caused discomfort, or trapped food underneath, it may be time for a reline.
Implant-retained dentures.
Implant-retained dentures clip onto dental implants.
As implant-retained dentures are secured to implants, they are more secure than conventional dentures, which sit on top of the gum line.
Here’s how it works: First, the dental implants are surgically placed into the jawbone underneath the gumline. Next, the patient must wait for the implant to integrate with the bone tissue (osseointegration). Once this integration has occurred, the implants are solid — and can act as a tooth root. The denture is then clipped onto the implant (there are various ways of doing this). The result is a new set of teeth that look and feel natural.
If you suffer from any of the issues below, contact us to find out more.
- Your denture is losing suction and moves around, making eating or talking more difficult
- Your denture is falling out
